Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre

Capital Investment to upgrade and expand facilities at Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre and training facility to provide for the growth in interest and demand from indigenous and foreign students attending the centre for training in all aspects of equestrian and horse sports.

Project profile

Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre, located near Rathcoole, County Dublin, is a BHS and AIRE approved equestrian centre offering lessons for both children and adults, full and grass livery options, BHS Training, CDETB training, Pony Camps and much more!

Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre, are focused on providing equestrian services with the highest levels of customer satisfaction & do everything to meet customer expectations. Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre has been awarded with Safety Standards, Customer Support and Tourism approval from The BHS, AIRE and Failte Ireland.

The proposal was for capital support for the following items:

  • Renovation/Construction works (student accommodation block)
  • All-weather Sand Arena (60mx40m including Judges box)
  • Horse walker
  • Show Jumps
  • Lecture room equipment

Results

The project was successfully completed and the promoter has indicated huge growth in business and the creation of 3 full-time instructor posts as a direct result of the support received through the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013.
